It enhances E-rosette formation ability and plays a role in lupus nephritis models. Additionally, Boc-Lys-OH is used in the synthesis of Boc-Lyz-OCH3 and serves as a production reagent for peptide-based thrombin inhibitors.

Tirzepatide is a novel glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) dual receptor agonist, administered once weekly.GLP-1 and GIP are both enteroglucagon, peptides secreted by the mucosa of the gastrointestinal tract of the human body, and the former can bind to the receptor on the pancreatic islet cells and stimulate the secretion of insulin, thus generating glucose-lowering effects, and it also delays gastric emptying and suppresses appetite, thus controlling body weight; while the latter has the function of inhibiting gastric acid, stimulating the release of insulin, and inhibiting gastric motility and emptying, which can supplement GLP-1. The former can bind to the receptors on pancreatic islet cells and stimulate insulin secretion, thus producing a hypoglycemic effect, as well as delaying gastric emptying and suppressing appetite, thus controlling body weight; while the latter has the functions of inhibiting gastric acid and pepsin secretion, stimulating insulin release, inhibiting gastric peristalsis and emptying, and can supplement the role of the GLP-1 agonist.
